The 3rd Annual Evolution of the Athlete Coach Education Conference is taking place on 1 - 3 November 2009 at University of Queensland, St Lucia Campus, Australia.

Three new dates have been announced for Intermediate Coaching General Principles courses in Queensland.

2009 will be a notable year for Coach Education in Australia. Following on from the success of FFA’s 2nd National Coaching Conference in February, we can announce that four FIFA Coaching Courses will be conducted in Australia later this year.

‘Our good relationship with FIFA, and the vision of FIFA Technical Director Jean-Michel Benezet, has led to the approval of courses for top-level coaches, for futsal, for women and for coaching instructors,’ said Kelly Cross, National Coach Education Manager, ‘which are the four major areas FIFA target.’

FFA have also enlisted the support of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), too, ensuring that accreditation gained by successful coaches on these courses is recognised by AFC.

Locker Rooms are an initiative of the Queensland Government and are conducted across Queensland. They provide unique learning opportunities for members of Queensland sporting communities, particularly Regional and Rural ones.
